Cherry stayed near her horse as if taking with it, and Willow took her opportunity to slip into the woods for her nightly transformation. It wasn't as deadly as the morning passage, but she didn't want any of the others to see we that way.

Fanuco dismounts from his horse and props his back against a tree with his sword resting on his left shoulder. He watches Willow leave the camp and turns his attention to the rest of the group. "I'm beginning to think I'm the only who isn't mad here." He says to himself.

Salem's search for firewood quickly devolved into wandering about. He scouted the area surrounding there camp, sniffing about and listening for any sounds that seemed out of the ordinary. He wouldn't sleep tonight, he couldn't the feeling of being free left him too elated. So, he ran and searched, burning off the excess energy that had welled up in him.

Willow found her clearing, seating herself in a latch of moonlight. She whispered a few words, which were carried away in the wind. The world began to spin and soon she didn't know which way was up, and she fell backwards. The many many scars on her body opened up, pouring out her blood into the ground, staing the earth. A soft moan escaped her lips as her vision dimmed and then blacked out altogether. Her life leeched out, leaving her skin a pale white, and her red hair seemed flaxen.

The scent of blood filled the night quickly. Salem lifted his head warily, surprised at how suddenly it had seemed to appear. It was a familiar scent, something that he had smelled recently. "... Willow." he breathed, his eyes widening with fear. He shifted and looked back towards the camp. The scent seemed to emanate from a different direction though. He wondered if any of the others had noticed the scent. He quickly decided that there was no time and took off towards the scent. "Willow!" he called out, hoping for a response. There was none. When he finally made it to the clearing he saw hear. A motionless heap strewn out on bloodstained ground. He dropped down beside her and placed two of his fingers against her neck. "C'mon, little witch." he coaxed, gently shaking her after finding a faint pulse. "Get up."

Willow drifted up from her body, a spirit copy forming in the shaft of moonlight. She glanced down, the sight of her pale body always unnerving her, no matter how often she saw it. The blood was a black stain on the ground, but she turned from it, looking up into the void of the night sky. Willow was vaguely aware of the others in the camp, and the wandering presence of Salem, yet it would be some time before she could return to her body. Even now her clothes had dissolved from her blood, making the scene that much more gruesome. Allowing her conscience to spread out in a thin blanket, she began her chant, calling out to her Lord. Every month she had to "die" so that her body could continue to live. Just as Salem's presence started towards her clearing, Willow blacked out, falling into the void herself.

Salem heard the footsteps before he even saw Gabriel. He didn't fully understand that someone was coming though. He was simply horrified by the scene that laid before him. "C'mon," he murmured softly. "You said you were like me. You can't die. How the hell am I supposed to pay you back if you go and die on me." He pleaded with the corpse up until Gabriel arrived. Salem turned, his face almost as ashen as the fading Willow. He expected to see Gabriel coming to aid him. Instead he was greeted by two daggers gleaming in the dark. "I didn't do anything." he said, feeling the tension roll off of his companion. "I found her like this." He didn't think Gabriel would believe him. There was murder in the man's eyes.

Salem had prepared himself to be attacked, but not in such a manner. He was caught mostly off guard by the onslaught that Gabriel rained upon him. He had enough martial training and instinct to prioritize his survival. He blocked the attacks meant for his more vital areas, his forearms being sliced open in the process, but wasn't able to dodge the kicks. He yelped as he left the bones in his legs rattle. In stead of disengaging Salem met the charge. He knew all about savagery. Salem twined his arm around Gabriel's as he drew back from his final slash and then delivered a vicious headbutt towards his nose. He had no desire to draw this out. It was a misunderstanding and he wanted to walk away from it with as little damage done to both parties. Just like always though, he would do what he needed to survive.

The aura of her Lord's servant called out to Willow in the void, and her spirit followed, collecting itself before reforming above the clearing. When she looked down again, she was even more horrified at the scene. Salem and Gabriel were locked in combat next to her body, and at the treeline she could see the outline of the Gohraijj lumbering towards her. Her spirit was still weak, and if they attacked the Gohraijj before it was able to bring her back to life, she could very well be stuck in this state. She tried to yell out to her friends, but it only caused a slight breeze to rustle the leaves. The Gohraijj made its way into the clearing, swiveling it's reptilian head from side to side, trying to locate her body. When it focused on Salem and Gabriel it let out a bear's roar and charged forward, apparently thinking they were a threat to its masters daughter.

The sweet sound of cartilage crunching sent a chill of excitement down Salem's spine. Despite the current situation a part of him still found the hunt exhilarating. Hunt... He shoved that word from his mind, reminding himself that he was free of his vicious hunger. Gabriel help by landing a strong blow on the side of Salem's face. His cheek burned and Salem tightened his grip around the lad's captured arm. Salem relied on his physical strength more than anything and he knew how to use that alongside his mass. With no warning he yanked downward with every ounce of his being. Either Gabriel was going down or his arm was. Salem was preparing a follow up when he heard the bestial roar. He whirled around, his arm still tangled with the other man's and spotted a strange lizard like creature. Was this the culprit?

The Gohraijj stopped a few feet from the two, roaring again as it reared up on its hind legs. Its long reptilian tale swung around dangerously behind it. The beast swung its massive bear claws at the two, giving a warning blow, missing them by just a foot. Willow had collected herself, floating just above her body. She tried to plead with the Gohraijj, but it didn't seem to care what she had to say, and there wasn't much time to finish the ritual.
