Abilities: At the age of 24, Salem was possessed by a malevolent spirit, known as the Wendigo. His will was strong enough to suppress the beast, but not expel it. Because of this he is plagued by an unending hunger that borders upon starvation, always craving more food and drink. What he craves the most though is the flesh of others. Something he tries his best to suppress. With this hunger also comes a strength. Salem is immensely strong, able to lift 100 tons with little difficulty. He is capable of running close to 60 miles per hour, and is durable enough to shrug off tank rounds. To better hunt Salem's senses have been honed to animal like acuity and been granted claw like nails as well as a powerful set of fangs.
The Wendigo has long been told to be of immense spiritual power. Salem channels this power through his body to increase his healing abilities, granting him a form of regeneration. This regeneration takes time, but has saved Salem from injuries ranging from blood loss to decapitation. If Salem were too many grevious wounds he would likely die. Fire has also shown to weaken this ability due to the Wendigo's affinity for Winter and the cold. The more Salem consumes flesh the stronger and larger the Wendigo becomes, adding to his own might.
The Wendigo has taken over his body on several occasions. Usually going on a feeding frenzy. Warm weather and fire have shown especially effective against it.
