The doctor rushed to Charm's side, brushing hair from her face with a soft hand. "She was the Captain's daughter. Until she mutinied and killed him." He explained as Charm shook violently. "Jack! My eyes, Jack!" She touched her face frantically. She breathed hard, trying to steady herself. "Jack... Who's left?" Jack touched a finger to her lips. "Don't worry now, lass. Be still. You're in bad shape." His tone seemed to soothe her nerves. "Stay quiet or someone will come." Charm nodded silently, grunting from the pain. Jack addressed the strangers. "Why are you all here?"

Jack stood by as he watched the scene unfold in front of him. He looked at each of the people around trying to figure out what they all were thinking. After the doctor was set free he sat on the ground and began to run his hand through his hair. "Well I am not sure of the others here, but I kind of boarded the ship without permission," he said with a small chuckle. "I was sleeping in the storage area when I was attacked and next thing I knew I was in the cell next door."

Jack nodded, tending to Charm's bandages while he listened. "Well I need to get Charm out of here as fast as possible. They'll kill her tonight... If not worse." He grimaced at the sight of her face, she was more blood and bruises than skin. And the same could be said for the rest of her body; she had paid the price for her mutiny. "If you're up for it, you can leave with us. There's a small island a few miles west of here."

"I was on a ship they attacked. Guess they thought I looked the useful sort and stuck me down here." Salem said, watching as the doctor looked over the girl. He turned to look at the two men. One radiated with power and the other gave off a cold aura, not unlike his friend. The mention of leaving caused Salem's expression to sour. "These men took something from me." He waltzed over to the nearest corpse, though it was more like a puddle at this point, and grabbed it's sword. He pulled the blade from it's scabbard, examining the blade, then shoved it back in with a resounding clank. "I need to get it back."

Charm turned to him, her hand reached out in his direction. "You... You were the one with the map. Jack he's the one. He had it!" She tried to sit up, but Jack pushed her back down gently. "Easy, lass. We'll get the map. Just lie down." He turned to Salem. "You and I may be able to sneak up there and get te map. They're more concerned with punishing her and choosing a new captain. But we won't have much time." He finished wrapping her stomach, the bandage already being bled through. "No... We won't have much time at all," he whispered under his breath.

Salem nodded as he fastened the sword belt around his waist. It had been some time before he had last used a sword, but it was faster and quieter than his bare hands. "You two should stay down here and make sure that anyone that tries to check on us can't raise any alarms. Besides, the less of us up on deck the better." Salem rested his hand on the pommel of the cutlass and looked up. "C'mon, doc."

The doctor stood, looking the other two men dead in the eye. "If she dies, you'll be escorting her soul back to her body. Got it?" With that he limped off towards the stairs, picking a short sword from a crate. Luckily no one was around the hatch when they came to the deck, and they were partially hidden behind barrels and rope. "The map should be in a back room belowdecks on the other side of the ship." He pointed toward the back of the ship. "Stay close to me, lad." Jack slowly peeked around the barrels to make sure the way was clear. In the cabins they coul hear a fight--screaming and yelling over who should take charge, and what should happen to a certain woman belowdecks. A couple men walked the deck, but they were able to time their movements to avoid them.

"Because, these folks have something that keeps our powers in check. We can't risk an all out confrontation with them. Besides, we only need the map." Salem informed Rotieart, as he walked after the doctor. He followed closely behind him, his footsteps barely making a sound as they made there way towards there goal. His hand rested on the cutlass, his fingers curling tighter around it with each passing door. The sounds of arguing seemed to grow louder as they got further from the cells. From the sounds of it there was no clear second in command to fill the void the Captain's death had created.

Silently jack pointed to a trap door. "You wanna do the honors, lad?" He whispered

Jack watched silently as the three men discussed their plans. He looked towards the girl and began to think to himself. "I guess I'll be staying here with you down here miss ....... I'm sorry but I never caught your name," he said while he rubbed the back of his head.

She coughed, trying to sit up. Her head turned to the direction of his voice. "...Charm. And yours? Did we die in the mutiny?" She groaned, holding her hands to her face. "We're dead aren't we?" Charm sank back to deck.

"Jack, and it is s pleasure to meet you," he said as he sat down by her. Jack started to laugh while listening to her ask if they were dead. "Nope, I believe that we are still alive," he said as he checked his pulse. "Yep, still alive just in pain and confused."

Charm started to laugh with him, but it quickly turned into a coughing fit. She grimaced, shaking her head clear of pain. "That makes two of us then. Were you part of my mutiny, Jack?" She had to force the words from her dry throat, and they were a raspy whisper over her tongue. "I'm sorry if you were. S'all my fault. "

Salem nodded as he approached the trapdoor. He lifted it gingerly, hoping that he would have enough luck that it wouldn't creak. At least that went his way. With the same carefulness he mounted the wooden ladder that lead below deck and slide down. He landed with a soft creak, the floor bending slightly beneath his weight. The room was dimly lit and eerily quiet compared to the other rooms. Salem didn't pay it much mind. He relied on his sense of smell to warn him if anyone else was in the room. He looked up at Jack and signaled that the coast was clear. He didn't even wait for the good doctor as he walked towards his goal.
The only light source was a flickering light on a ragged table. Salem grinned, spotting the map beside the lamp. He put on a burst of speed, rushing towards his goal. "Yes," he muttered reaching out for the map. He placed his hand on before it was snatched away.
"Thought ye would try for the map." A calm voice said. Salem twirled towards the source of it and spotted a man garbed in a dark blue. He leaned upon a cutlass very similar to the one Salem had in his possession. "Hoped ye wouldn't, but I guess that was hopin' for too much."
Salem placed his hand on his own cutlass. "I guess it was. How're you?"
"Firstmate Gallows, at your service." the man performed a low sweeping bow, taking off his cap with a flourish. "Though, now that the captain's found his way to the murky depths I guess that makes me Captain Gallows." the man said with a bright, pearly smile. "Doctor, how good it is to see you." he said, spotting the man at Salem's side. "How's my guest doin'?"

Doctor J scowled, brandishing his sword at the man. "I oughtta gut ya right here and now!" His rage making his celtic accent come out. "Ya know the lass was within reason! She's done nothin' wrong, Gallows." Throwing his head back, self-appointed Captain Gallows laughed. "She certainly was a fighter the whole way threw, wasn't she?" He squared the map evenly before stowing it in his pocket. "Don't s'pose you told this one why he's even here in the first place, hm?" He looked from the doctor to Salem. "Do ye, lad? Do ye know why we attacked yer ship, hm?"
